Unpaid Internship Opportunity at James Dean Design



JAMES DEAN DESIGN is a private firm practicing landscape architecture, planning and urban design is providing an internship on an unpaid basis to assist with CAD work and gain experience in practice.

Landscape Architectural intern activities will include:


  • Involvement in project development throughout various design phases to gain hands on experience in all areas from concept design to construction progress.

  • Accompaniment with principals or associates on field visits for site reconnaissance and to view construction progress of our current projects.


We would like to offer the opportunity to gain experience at small intimate firm with a 45 year history in Southern California. The intern(s) will be working in our office located in Thousand Oaks.  Hours can be flexible and will be arranged upon selection.

Candidate must have good AutoCad skills.

WTS Orange County Scholarship Opportunity

2011-12 Scholarship Applications Now Available 


Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) is an international organization with more than 4,000 members. WTS is committed to excellence in the transportation industry and provides opportunities for member career advancement through the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences.

To encourage women pursuing careers in transportation, the Orange County Chapter of WTS will be offering multiple graduate and undergraduate scholarships this year to women in Southern California. In 2010, WTS Orange County awarded six $5,000 scholarships; three to undergraduate and three to graduate students. The number of scholarships and the amounts for the 2011-2012 academic year will be determined following a review of the applications received, but it is anticipated that a similar level of funding will be available to be distributed to exceptional applicants.
